I love that this hand warmer also has a USB port that I can use to charge my phone. This is a lifesaver, especially when I'm out and about and my phone battery is starting to die. I no longer have to worry about finding a wall outlet to charge my phone.
This hand warmer is also very well-made. It's sturdy and durable, and it heats up quickly and evenly. The three heat settings are perfect for different levels of cold, and the battery life is excellent.
Overall, I highly recommend this electric hand warmer + portable charger. It's a well-made, versatile product that's worth every penny.
As for downsides, this device charges very slowly. The instructions estimate 7-8 hours to charge, and I timed mine at around 9 hours to charge when it was fully depleted. This can be a problem if you are the sort of person who might forget to charge things overnight. The battery life varies noticeably depending on the ambient temperature. This is normal for battery operated devices, but the advertised battery life estimates are only accurate at temperatures where you are unlikely to need the device--It's a safe assumption that you'll be charging far more often in real-life use scenarios.
I'm not sure if it's a flaw in my device specifically or a design flaw overall, but the hole for the wrist strap is poorly made and has a lip that prevents the cord from being easily pushed through the hole and out the other side. I suspect I could get the cord through if I used something else like a thin paper clip to fish it out on the other side, but as is, I cannot attach the wrist strap.
I picked up this one from welodorir, though there is "PUHPIG" on the unit and I couldn't find welodorir in the product info. Regardless, this is a nice battery pack/hand warmer. I went with the white/black. I believe there is also a white/pink and white/blue option. The black portions are a lightly grippy material, making it feel a little softer and easier to keep a grip on. It also comes with a hand strap that you can attach to tether it to your wrist if you are concerned about dropping it. Also included is a soft storage bag and USB to USBc charging cable.
It does take hours to charge. I didn't time it, but the box says 7-8 hours which sounds about right. What impressed me most is that running on low it ran for 22 hours and 10 minutes over 3 days for me. That far exceeds the product listing and my expectations. It has 3 temperature settings, though I find the low is warm enough for me. I did find that when you turn it on to low it gets a bit warmer than "low" at first, but then settles down to the "low" setting. I assume it just overshoots the temperature a bit when it first tries to warm up. After that, the temperature seems stable.
Naturally this can be used as for charging devices. I don't plan to use it that way, but it is there as an option should I need it.
I am thoroughly pleased with this hand warming USB charger. It looks good and feels good in my hands. It is solid and seems like it should last a good long time.
If you want to use it as a charger all you have to do is tap two times on the power and will light up blue, use the USB port, but if you want to activate the heat, press and hold the power button for a few seconds, and if you want to turn it off do the same thing. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds.
One downside is though, at full charge, the 3rd and strongest level does feel too hot for bare skin. That 3d level feels a bit uncomfortable and may instead be a good use for warming up pockets or gloves. I personally prefer the second level as I find it just right. This is great for any cold weather and has a great battery life. This has lasted a good amount and had it on the 2nd level for about 4-5 hours.
The charging feature works great & is functional as described. Charges my iPhone 12pro max from 0 to about 70ish% on tests I have done myself. Maybe cuz of use during charging but it holds a good amount of battery life.
Aesthetic-wise, I love the black and white colors on the device as it provides a clean and minimalist look. Overall a great product for keeping hands warm!
Overall a strong recommend for the price. Very well packaged and came with the USB cord to charge it.
I have large hands, and the hand warmer fit comfortably within one of them. Someone with small hands may only be able to hold a portion of the warmer with just one hand, and they might have to hold the battery with both hands to make the most out of it.
Time to charge from 0 to 100%: 5 hours
Three led lights
- Blue: 1 — less than 35%; 2 — between 35 and 70%; 3 — between 70 and 100%
- Red: 1 — low heat; 2 — medium heat; 3 — high heat (up to 130 F)
This unit has a one button operation, I love the simplicity of the operation. Many similar units have two buttons, and you have to hold this button or double click that button. This unit is dead simple. One button turn on as well as adjust temperatures. There are three LEDs that indicate the heat level.
Instructions were a little lackluster. As an example, it comes with a carrying strap, but no where in the instructions does it indicate how you attach the carrying strap. Usually there is a small hole however, on this unit, we could not locate the attachment point. Well, this is not a big deal for me since I would not use the carry strap. Anyway, it could be for someone else. this unit will be great for attending Kansas City Chiefs games in the extreme cold.
Cons - We have a few of these and this feels a bit less ergonomic than the others. It might also be a smidge bigger. Maybe it’s me, but I haven’t been able to get the lanyard attached. It looks like it should slide in one hole and out the other but nope. At last not for me. Minor detail as I don’t think the lanyard is really needed.
I haven’t checked how long the charge lasts yet so I’ll update if I notice anything worth mentioning.
The included silicone wrist strap was theoretically easy to attach, but I had to use a paper clip to help fish it through the two tiny holes. The opening is a bit tight for my hand, but will probably be fine for my wife. I expect this to live in a pocket anyway. I’m also not sure I’ll get much use out of the included carry pouch. More useful might be a sliding cover over the power button to prevent accidentally turning it on… but I haven’t found that feature in a hand warmer yet.
I’m still working on run-time tests… After 6 hours on low, this has settled in at about 100 degrees, and the battery meter still shows full. At 7 hours, the first of the three power meter LEDs went off. I have no doubt this will last 10-12 hours on low, which is as much as I’m going to need.
So helpful to have a hand warmer that can also charge my phone, when I play phone games outdoors in the winter!
However, turn it on, and you'll be surprised at the fact that this baby, you can wrap your hands around it and warm both at the same time
I turn it onto 1, the first setting, and it is exactly as hot as I need for my hands. I can do higher for like my arms or elsewhere, but hands wise 1 is as high as I need. Probably amount of nerves thing
Anyway. This thing I honestly thought I wouldn't use til winter, but I turned it on, and the moment I felt the heat...it was like dipping into the best hot bath. The feeling thst came over me from this was among the best feelings I've ever felt.
Honestly I keep this on my desk where I work to hold in my hands on the first setting, about once a day
It's that good
