GREAT in every catagories 😊
The tree that I received was 5 feet tall, so that's a great height for smaller rooms and apartments. It's quite compact and easy to store away. I love that it's pre-lit, saving me the time and hassle of stringing lights and worrying about uneven spacing or burnt-out bulbs. The lights are bright. The warm glow of the lights adds a cozy ambiance to the room.
The snow-flocked branches are dense and full, allowing for plenty of ornaments without the tree looking sparse. It's also pleasantly surprising how realistic the flocking looks, bringing the essence of a winter's snow indoors. A minor downside is the initial shedding of the flocking when setting it up, but that's to be expected, and it didn't continue once the tree was decorated. Overall, this is a great tree for anyone looking to capture the magic of a snowy Christmas morning. Full marks from me!
The best part about this tree are the lights! I love that the lights come already on the tree and aren't tangled when you take it out of the box. The lights look beautiful, especially with the artificial snow!
I also really like the height of the tree. It is advertised as a 5ft tree but it's actually slightly taller which I love, and if you put anything on top of the tree it looks even taller.
It's very easy to assemble. Naturally, due to the artificial snow, it is a bit messy when you initially set it up, but I don't mind considering my other artificial trees still shed every time I take them out of the box, so I don't think it's that big of a deal.
As with any artificial tree, you need to do a lot of fluffing of the branches to fill the gaps and make it look more full! Adding your Christmas ornaments helps as well to fill the gaps. Definitely take some time at doing this to get the most out of the tree and make it look beautiful.
Considering how it comes with lights & a base, I think it's priced well. It's high quality and I believe it'll last you a long time. I highly recommend!
Looks good decorated
The assembly was generally straightforward. With only three major parts to connect to a pole, the most time-consuming process was hiding wires or spreading out the bunches. But this can also be viewed as a festive bonding experience if you work with others.
The most noticeable flaw is that the bottom-most part of the tree lacked the most branches despite being the largest and looked bare compared to the rest. However, it can be covered up with decorations. Plus, the tree already comes with lights that are a yellow-white colour so it will work with any colour you choose to decorate it with and you don’t have to worry about buying or stringing any.
There are three sections to the tree and the base. The bottom and middle sections have hinges that fold out the individual branches and the top section needs to be folder out manually. All the hinges are solid and can all hold a decent amount of weight in ornaments. The base of the tree is two interlocking metal legs that are solid, not too wide but still support the tree very well and keeps it from tipping. The install of the base is by locking screws and takes seconds. Installing each section is very easy as all the joints have different shaped joints. Not all trees have that, so it was nice to see it here. The base does add about 4 or 5 inches to the overall height of the tree. There is zero wobble from the joints.
The con is that the tree does not look as full as the pictures in the bottom half of the base section or the very bottom row of branches, but the rest of the tree is very full and thick. Another negative is that the bottom of the metal legs are a bit sharp and some furniture pads a highly recommended in order to avoid scratches on hardwood flooring.
Overall a fantastic tree that looks amazing, has beautiful lights, and is a great value and quality. This tree should last many years and being a bit over to 5 foot, closer to 5.5 it is a nice size and feels a little taller.
I have it partially decorated but haven't finished it yet since its not quite time for me to put my decorations up for the Christmas Holiday season but as you can see from the photos this is a very well made tree, gorgeous.
The 5 feet is small and I prefer a bigger tree but for the size this is well priced, and gorgeous and I really love that it has the lights on it already.
The tree was very easy to assemble, its three pieces of tree plus the tree stand. The limbs are easy to fluff up and they are bendable so you can angle them the way you want to fill in the tree.
Great quality, looks fantastic, have gotten several compliments on it already and its not even fully decorated!
The first important thing to note is that while I got the 5 feet one, it's slightly larger than 5 feet. I'm not complaining though, the height is still what I prefer - not too tall and not too short. The second thing is that, yes, this tree does indeed already come with lights. I actually appreciate that a lot, as I don't have to search around and buy the lights myself. I also get to skip the process of attaching the lights on, as they are already attached very well on to the tree.
With that said, this is one of those classic-styled artificial Christmas trees, so you won't be getting ultra-realistic. Still though, I don't think that means ugly by any means, and this kind has a special place in my heart as I grew up around this kind.
Now, there are some slight flaws to be found though, which keeps this tree from being absolutely perfect for me. The bottom part of tree, while containing a substantial amount of branches, still end up looking somewhat sparse because of the way these types of trees are designed. To make them convenient enough to be able to be packed well into storage, they can't overload the bottom part with branches. With enough decorations though, I could see the sparseness being covered up well. Another thing I don't really like is that the lights have sections with red parts to connect them, and the red is bright enough to be noticeable. Again, with decorations covering it up, it shouldn't be that bad. During the night, the bright lights also help in blending the red up, but I would've still preferred something less noticeable. Lastly, I wish there was a switch for the lights instead of having to plug/unplug every time.
Otherwise, the tree is pretty darn excellent even with these flaws. It arrives in a small-ish box for its size, and during the unpacking, there were only 1 or 2 needles that fell off. When I say the needles are stuck on to the tree, I mean REALLY stuck on. I was afraid it would be like my old tree where any movements such as setting it up and adding decorations would cause a lot of mess but that wasn't the case. The assembly itself was a breeze as the instructions were clear-cut, but I think even if there weren't instructions it would be easy. As with the usual trees of this type, you'll have to fluff out the branches and needles in order to get a fuller look, but it's not a big deal. I will say that the easy assembly makes it so that the tree isn't attached really tightly on, but as long as you're not roughing the tree up, it's fine.
Overall, I'm loving this tree even though it's a little flawed in some areas. While it may not be perfect in my books, the price of this tree for what you're getting more than makes up for it.
The tree's assembly is straightforward, with three clearly marked sections that fit effortlessly into a sturdy metal base. While the setup is quick, the meticulous task of fluffing the branches to achieve that lush, full look does take some time and patience.
I opted for the 5-foot model, which to my surprise, extends beyond the expected height. The tree reaches about 5 feet to the pole designated for the tree topper, but with an additional branch stretching out another 7 inches, and once the topper is placed, it stands even taller, hitting close to the 5'7” mark.
The synthetic snow-dusted branches add a touch of winter wonderland magic to the tree. Although there's a bit of shedding from the snow particles, it's a minor inconvenience for the stunning snowy effect it creates.
LED integration is well-executed in this pre-lit tree. The lights may be small, but they cast a warm and inviting glow that truly brings the tree to life, and I appreciate that the LEDs remain cool to the touch, ensuring safety.
One design choice that puzzles me is the red connectors for the lights. Green would have been more suitable to blend in with the foliage, helping the technology to disappear into the background.
In conclusion, this tree, with its snowy branches and warm LED lighting, is a beautiful addition to my holiday decorations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for its aesthetics and ease of assembly.
This tree's style leans towards the classic, with plastic strips emulating pine needles—a nostalgic nod to the Christmas trees of yesteryear. While the newer, more realistic molded types exist, there's something endearing about this traditional look, not to mention the more accessible price point.
Assembly is easier than most, with three sections that slot together in a foolproof manner. The top section is notably denser, which requires some branch fluffing, especially at the base, to achieve a full-bodied appearance. Once adorned with decorations, any sparseness becomes less noticeable.
The tree's lights are strategically placed, but care is needed during setup to avoid dislodging them. I'm not entirely convinced by the method of attaching the sections—apart from the base, they simply rest in place, which could be problematic when moving the tree.
The height was a pleasant surprise. With the base included, the tree stands at a neat 6 feet, slightly taller than advertised. Its modest width makes it a perfect fit for smaller rooms, and the compact box it folds back into is ideal for storage.
Upon unboxing, the tree's stability was apparent, and the pre-lit feature is a bonus, minimizing decoration time. At 5 feet, it's just the right size for my cozy living room, contributing to the festive atmosphere without overwhelming the space. It's an easy-to-manage holiday centerpiece that promises to bring cheer year after year. 🎄✨
The LED’s give off a nice warm glow which in my opinion, is much more attractive and gives off a cozier vibe than the white LED’s. There are 200 lights on this tree which is a decent amount for the size.
The branches are easy to fluff up but this is a very messy process. I ended up putting a tarp under the tree to catch all of the fall out and make the clean up much easier. Now that it is fluffed and decorated and I don’t have to touch it, I haven’t noticed a huge mess. Anything “flocked” is going to be messy so if this isn’t your thing, I would skip this tree. For me it is worth it to have a faux covered snow tree.
The branches are fuller than I was expecting so I wasn’t left with a whole lot of bare areas. These can be filled with decorations anyways and are always where I put poinsettias for bigger filler/bulk. They aren’t the strongest branches so they don’t hold heavy ornaments very well but I just made sure to buy lighter ones specifically for this tree.
Overall, I am quite happy with it and love the final result, I just wish the set up was slightly less messy. I’m sure it won’t be as bad next year now that most of the looser flocking has come off. Recommend but not for clean freaks or those with small babies or curious pets.
- we are downsizing many things, with kids now older. This 5 footer is much smaller and slimmer than our family tree through the years, so be prepared for that. Takes up much less real estate than the big family tree.
- love how compact this is when you take it down for storage. The box is less than 4 feet, and skinny. Again, less real estate needed for storage.
- so easy to set up! 3 pieces plus the stand all snap together then spread out the end to fluff it up. The pics attached don’t do it justice, as we set it up for pics and review then took down, waiting for full grooming until December!
- attached led lights make it that much easier for put up, take down, and storage.
- really like the Aspen tree look- just like in nature, branches are a little more spread out, just looks a little more like nature, perfectly imperfect.
Loss of one star for the stand - it is a 4 legged stand, but seems to be very thin and flimsy metal. Once fully decorated, commotion of people and pets, I’m a little concerned with the sturdiness and durability. Time will tell.
At $100 at time of review, this is a pretty good offering for a tree this size. If you have a smaller space, or are looking to downsize life in general, this 5 ft option is a good one. I do recommend.
This tree assembles easier than others we've used in the past, consisting of three sections that slot into the base and then go in decreasing size. The top bit has a square shaped peg so even if you don't look at the tree you can't get it wrong. The lower two sections have hinged branches that plop down into position.
The top is also significantly more dense than the lower branches. Like any of these kind of cheaper trees you have to spend a bit of time spreading out the clusters to give it a fuller appearance. This works okay but the base in particular doesn't give you a lot to work with despite being the widest. Once decorated this is would be less of an issue and again, isn't uncommon.
The lights all seem to be positioned well, just need a bit of care when assembling and breaking down to ensure you don't yank them out of place as they just seem to be twisted around the branches here and there.
The only part I'm not sold on is how each section attaches, as other than the base (which is awkwardly assembled with threaded keys and can tighten) the parts of the tree are just resting in place. It's not a heavy tree but if you move it you have to grab by the base or else you'll just pull the tree apart.
Interestingly, with the base the tree is almost exactly 6 feet tall. The top six inches is just a single stem but it's still quite a bit taller than advertised. Not a huge tree, mind you, but good for a smaller room as it's not particularly wide at the base. and takes up very little room in its box.
I ordered the 5 feet tree and I thought it would be smaller than it actually is, and in fact it is taller than 5 feet. When assembled, it is about 5 feet to the tip of pole for the tree topper, but there is a branch that extends another 7” so it is more like 5’7”. Once a topper is added, the tree may even be taller.
I also have a second tree with the synthetic snow and absolutely love it, and this one is no different. I would not consider getting another tree without snow. The synthetic snow looks so beautiful and is applied very nicely on this tree. The snow particles do fall off but it goes with having this amazing feature.
The LED lights are nicely integrated in this pre-lit tree. The lights are small but light up the tree nicely. The LEDs are barely warm to the touch while the plug gets slightly warm. Having red connectors is an odd choice in my opinion. I think green is better as the connectors would be camouflaged.
Overall, this is a very beautiful pre-lit Christmas tree with the snow and I would recommend it.
The lights are very nice and convenient. If you've been doing like I have for many years and wrapping real lights all around your tree, you'll know how much easier it is just to have them built-in! It's a real time save. Hanging the ornaments is still fun; you just get to skip the long lights setup.
The price is very good. Most artificial, pre-lit trees are much more expensive than this. That being said, it is shorter than most at only 5'. Most artificial Christmas trees I've seen are 6 feet at minimum. So, just keep that in mind when picturing it in your living room!
I hated putting up the Christmas tree every year. Stinging up the lights, well that is a whole other story! These lights don't twinkle but I am OK with that.
It took me about an hour to put up, from unpacking to placing the branches in position to shooing away my puppy, it's her first Christmas and she was very curious even bring my her toys lol.
Each section is marked with a tag. I did have a slight problem with the first section of light to connect to the power supply, for some reason the screwing cap was hard to put in place, the other one was ok and went in easy.
I don't like the look of a full Christmas tree as it's hard to place ornaments on properly to hang. I have a lot of ornaments that my kids and grandkids made I like to put on the tree.
To hide the wires I used one branch to wrap around the wire. The stand I noticed has this brownish power to it, I asked my husband if he saw what I saw and he said yup looks like rust. Although I didn't notice any rust on the stand itself. No harm no foul.
It's a small tree at 5' but we don't have a huge living room to warrant a bigger tree and on the plus side, less to decorate!
Overall happy with the tree (only 4 little 'pine' needles cam off). Quality for the value (at time of order it was 109.99) I see it's at $99.99 at the time of this review, nice :-D
-very nicely flocked
-easy to assemble
-lights are a nice warm colour
-very full
-great for smaller spaces
Cons
-it sheds a lot even after being fluffed
-it comes apart very easily which makes it hard to move
-even though it is well flocked, it is hard to take some branches apart because the flocking it so dense in some parts
Such a beautiful tree. It is going to look so nice once it is decorated. Not too many bare spots once fluffed out a bit.
The tree has a 40.5" diameter at the bottom layer, providing a full and lush appearance.
With 500 branch tips, the tree looks incredibly realistic and full-bodied.
The 200 LED bulbs add a beautiful and festive glow to the tree, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
One of the standout features of this tree is its unique design. The 4.5" long base for the tree topper ensures that it stays securely in place, eliminating any worries about it falling off.
This attention to detail is greatly appreciated and adds to the overall convenience and ease of use. The construction of the tree is top-notch. It is incredibly easy to assemble, thanks to the three premium spruce sections and the all-metal hinged construction.
The branches are securely attached to the center pole sections, ensuring stability and durability.
However, I have concerns about the strength and stability of the folding metal tree stand, especially when hanging more ornaments and ribbons. A sturdier and thicker stand would provide a solid foundation and prevent wobbling or tipping over.
Additionally, this tree is made from fire-resistant and non-allergenic PVC material, making it safe for indoor use and suitable for those with allergies or sensitivities.
Overall, I highly recommend the 5-feet tall Dunhill Fir Christmas tree. Its realistic appearance, easy assembly, sturdy construction, and thoughtful design make it a perfect addition to any holiday decor.
It looks quite nice, especially delivered at this price.
My only issue, and this is something that is noted in the description, is that this was really messy when assembling it.
Once you have it set up, it looks beautiful with the white covered tree. Add in the decorations, the base cover that I have and it looks very nice. It’s only November and I already feel the Christmas joy. Overall a nice decent snow cover tree.
I really like that it's pre-lit, it's less work for me. Just hang the ornaments, place a topper and probably add a ribbon light. It was also easy to take down and fit back into the box it came in, perfect to store until the next year. At 5ft, I find it's about the right size for my home, where the living room is not that spacious, the tree in the room really gives a nice homey Christmas feel. 🎄 🎁
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VACUUM ON DECK WHEN PUTTING IT TOGETHER. Seriously, I was covered from head to toe in this white stuff, and once I was done decorating the tree I had white fluff in my hair, in and on my shirt, pants, socks, it even made its way around the house and upstairs. This tree is NOT for those clean freaks. Aside from the horrible mess and taking time to fluff the branches, its a nice tree!
The lights arent that bright but they do look good, we added our own lights and decorations to the tree and it looks phenomenal. Its not a tall tree but its nice for a smaller place or somewhere you may not have a huge space for a tree, this one fits the tightest of spots nicely.
The quality is nice, the "leaves/pines" all stayed on and intact, the base is solid and it held all of our decorations and an accidental bump into it without an issue or felling over.
With little effort, the tree was easy to assemble, and I had no issues there. The price value of $149.99 is a fair price compared to others I have seen. Overall, a bright-looking white Christmas tree.
For the price ($150), I am quite pleased with the tree which I think presents excellent value. I do urge caution if you have a pet that might hoover up the flock and become ill.
NOTE: This isn't going to last forever but if you don't fully squash it for storage, I think it will last quite a while. Also, the pre-strung lights help to preserve the flock (and look pretty).
This tree stands at 5 feet in height with a 41" diameter at the bottom layer. It has 420 branch tips and comes pre-lit with 200 LED bulbs, saving you time on stringing lights.
The North valley spruce leaves are made of fire-resistant and non-allergenic PVC. What sets this tree apart is the realistic powdered snow that covers its branches, creating a cozy winter ambiance.
The 4.5" long base for a tree topper is a thoughtful addition, ensuring your tree topper stays securely in place throughout the holiday season.
With easy assembly and a secure base for your tree topper, it offers a hassle-free way to bring the joy of a snowy winter day indoors during the holiday season.
